Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are, and what the Service is

Outerview ("the Service") is operated by My Dreams Are These Oy (business ID 3622718-6), a company registered in Finland. "We" and "us" mean that company; "you" means the person using the Service.

The Service conducts interviews — by voice or as a written chat — and uses AI to turn them into written content such as LinkedIn posts and articles. It can also record video of an interview and cut clips from it, publish and schedule posts to LinkedIn on your behalf, and let a team collect answers from several people against one shared brief.

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You can sign up with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, and by using it you confirm that you are.

Tell us immediately at info@outerview.app if you suspect somebody else has access to your account.

To support and onboard customers, our staff may sign into your account. This is limited, time-boxed and logged — see section 12 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Team accounts

The Service can be used personally or as part of a team, which is a shared brand that several people write under. If you use a team account:

  • You can belong to one team at a time.
  • Team members hold roles — member, manager or admin — and roles determine what each person can do. Only the team's owner can change its plan or delete it.
  • Interviews you record against a team's shared brief are visible to that team's managers, including their transcripts, and articles written from them may quote you by name. Your personal interviews and posts are not shared. This is set out in full in section 8 of our Privacy Policy, and by joining a team you accept it.
  • An administrator who invites you is responsible for having the right to give us your email address.
  • If you leave a team, or the team is deleted, your personal account, interviews and posts remain yours.

4. Invited guests

A team can invite someone without an account to answer a brief through a private link. If you are that person:

  • The link is personal to you and to that one brief. Do not share it — anyone holding it can answer as you.
  • These Terms apply to your use of the Service through that link.
  • The interview you give is collected for the team that invited you, and they decide what to publish from it. Contact them, or us at info@outerview.app, if you want it removed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are or who you write for.
  • Generate or publish content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Record any other person, on video or audio, without telling them and having a lawful basis for it.
  • Upload or discuss confidential information belonging to somebody else without the right to do so.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure or other users' access.
  • Use bots or scrapers against the Service without our written permission.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service commercially without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Your content, and our intellectual property

Your content is yours. You retain ownership of everything you provide and everything the Service generates for you — your recordings, transcripts, drafts, posts and articles. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely in order to provide the Service to you and, for a team's shared brief, to the team you gave it to.

The Service is ours. Its design, code, AI prompts, interviewer personas and branding belong to My Dreams Are These Oy and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you no rights to them beyond using the Service as intended.

7. AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content from your interviews. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or statements you did not make.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing and approving anything before it is published — nothing is published in your name without your approval.
  • We do not guarantee that generated content is original, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.
  • Similar prompts may produce similar output for different customers, and we make no claim of exclusivity over generated text.
  • Publishing to LinkedIn or anywhere else is subject to that platform's own terms, and compliance is your responsibility.

8. Connected services

You may connect your LinkedIn account, and a team administrator may connect a Slack workspace. Connecting is optional and can be undone at any time from the app.

When you connect a service, you authorize us to act within the permissions you granted — for LinkedIn, publishing and scheduling the posts you tell us to publish and reading back their statistics. Your use of those services remains governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, their decisions, or changes they make to their APIs.

9. Plans, payment and billing

The Service has a free tier and paid plans. What each plan includes, and its limits on interviews and content generation, are shown on our pricing page and in the app. We may change plan limits with reasonable notice.

  • Personal subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method until you cancel.
  • Team subscriptions are billed per seat at one tier for the whole team. Adding a member adds a seat and changes what you pay. Guests invited to answer a brief do not consume a seat.
  • Invoiced team agreements are billed at an agreed monthly price against a seat limit. That price is net — VAT is added on top of it at the rate for the billing country, and an EU VAT number outside Finland makes the sale reverse-charged. If an invoice goes unpaid, the team is restricted: existing content stays readable, but new interviews and content cannot be created until it is settled. Any manager on the team may settle it.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Paid features continue until the end of the billing period already paid for, and we do not refund part-periods.
  • Refunds are handled case by case — write to info@outerview.app.
  • Price changes take effect with at least 30 days' notice. Continuing to use the Service after that constitutes acceptance.

VAT is applied at checkout according to your country. If you are an EU consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal, which you waive for the part of the Service already delivered once you begin using it within the withdrawal period.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

We develop the Service continuously and may add, change or remove features. We will not remove a material feature of a paid plan without reasonable notice.

The Service depends on third-party AI and infrastructure providers. Interruptions, model changes or price changes at those providers may affect availability and quality, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, including Finnish and EU law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, data or business opportunities.
  • We are not liable for the consequences of content you chose to publish, whoever or whatever drafted it.

Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU or Finnish law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to info@outerview.app. We will delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep before you ask — deletion is not reversible.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity. Where we terminate for cause, no refund is due for the remainder of the period.

Sections 6, 7, 11 and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland and applicable European Union law, including the GDPR.

Disputes are resolved in the courts of Finland, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, and in Finland the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta).

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes are communicated by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that constitutes acceptance. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
